As you know from this post, I’m eagerly, deliriously anticipating the arrival of Spring. Ever since I was a kid, Spring’s been the season that tugs at my heart- fresh flowers, warm weather, the return of green grass…and now with J, throw Easter egg hunts in the mix.
What’s not to love?
The only kicker: It’s still February. Charlotte now is hit or miss- the past two days we broke 60° but the two before were hardly north of 40. What that means (aside from random floral dresses on rare gorgeous days) is turning to sweaters to express my desire for Spring…there are so many great Spring transitional sweaters out right now!
As I talked about here when I covered Spring 2018 Fashion Trends, pastels- especially lilac- are going to be HUGE. I’ve always loved pastels so I’m more than down with that.
I get excited when I find a good sweater because of the use I’ll get from it. A great sweater is just so easy to throw on and go but look like you tried when you didn’t. The trick, I think, is finding a sweater with that “je ne sais qoui”, or extra little something.
Here are three sweaters I think will transition beautifully into Spring. I’m actually wearing the lilac one as we speak, sitting on a plane to Baltimore…it’s so good!
cardigan // on sale in select sizes here // cami (similar here too) // jeans (similar here) // necklace (on sale) // belt // sandals // bag – Gucci Soho Disco
This one hooked me with its softness and gorgeous knit. I’ve been wearing it around the house on chilly days and get so many compliments when I wear it out.
sweater // jeans (similar here and here) // necklace // espadrilles (flat version here) // bag- Prada Saffiano in medium (similar for less here) // lipstick- MAC ‘Breathing Fire’
The color is what makes this one- the pretty lilac shade got me swooning when I saw it. I love the slightly oversized fit and a neckline that makes it easy to wear on or off shoulder.
sweater // coin pendant necklace // jeans (similar here and here) // bag – Gucci Soho Disco
The balloon sleeves are what did it for me. It’s my first ever piece in this icy blue color- probably ‘cause Mom told me growing up light blue didn’t look good on us brunette gals…sorry Mom, we disagree!
Here’s a few others that would be equally for transitioning into Spring…is it bad I’ve got my eye on a few? 😉
Love always,
Terra
