Ridge is really affectionate but he almost never comments on my clothes one way or another (a pretty normal guy thing I think?). But when I got home wearing this jacket after shooting it Saturday he wouldn’t stop telling me how much he liked it.
I think what makes it a stunner is the shearling trim on the lapel and edges- it’s such a fun contrast against the dark denim. (Dark denim will be a huge trend in 2018- I rounded up all the top trends here). I paired it with black denim and a basic cami to let the jacket pop, but it would also look great with white jeans (y’all know they’re my fave!) or a dark wash for a denim-on-denim look.
As much as I can’t wait for Spring, we still have a few months of Winter to go. The good news is there are lots of amazing jackets out right now and some of them are starting to go on sale. I personally love lighter jackets that can be layered with a warm sweater on colder days or worn solo on cooler days.
