Dusty Pink Cardigan

Do you know that feeling, when you find a staple piece you can’t live without? While I like everything I share with you, I get really excited when I find something I know I’ll use over and over…and over again. And that’s partly why I fell in love with this Free People cardigan the minute I saw it. Cardigans are my favorite sweaters since the open front gives more styling possibilities…the right one can look amazing with almost any basic.

This Free People cardigan is a great blend of comfort and style. The slouchy, oversized fits and soft material make it extremely comfortable to wear while the crochet pattern and loose bells sleeves give it a sense of uniqueness. It comes in two other colors- an off white and a royal blue- but I’ve been on a pink kick for a little while now. 😉 Free People’s sweaters and thermals have been amazing lately and I can’t wait to share some other Fall-friendly picks in the upcoming weeks.

Because it’s such a great staple it was very easy to build an outfit around. I paired it with four other staples that tend to make frequent appearances- these raw hem jeans, this basic white cami, this bag (full review here), and these ankle strap sandals. To finish the look I accessorized with this layered necklace. Layered necklaces are really trending, but I find it takes time to choose the right lengths/pendants that look good together. I love this little necklace because it saves time by doing the layering work for you (not to mention it’s only $19 and a really pretty piece too).

How is your week going? Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I just got back this afternoon from meetings with Walgreens in Chicago. Usually I stay near their offices (in the suburbs), but this time I stayed smack in the middle of downtown. It was fun to explore Chicago last night but traffic in and out reminded me why I stay on the outskirts! Now that I‘m back I feel like I can look forward to the weekend and finalizing things for Juliana’s birthday (can’t believe my baby is turning FOUR!!!). Her little personality has come out in a big way this year and it’s the first birthday where I feel sure all the gifts I’ve picked are ones she’ll love. <3
