Spring & Summer 2017 Fashion Trends

Happy Monday! In the evenings I spend (probably too much) time on Instagram and Pinterest as part of my blogging affair. One of the things I love about these platforms though is scrolling through beautiful feeds and pins gives me a great pulse on what’s trending right now. The thing with trends however is that they are just that…meaning they’ll disappear and new trends will take their place. Hence the dilemma: how do you incorporate trends you love without breaking the bank or tossing money toward styles that might disappear in a couple months?

My answer: make sure you’re well stocked on versatile quality basics (shoes, jeans, jackets, tops, etc.) then selectively incorporate more affordable trendy pieces.

Here are my favorite trends of the moment and some budget-friendly picks (all images are clickable):

Cactus everything:

Off the shoulder. This is a trend that actually carried over from last Summer. I keep hearing that OTS is one of the most universally flattering trends for any figure, and I totally agree!

Blue-and-white stripes:

Gingham. The first one is on sale for $24. The second one is a little pricier but I feel like gingam is one of those trends that never truly goes out of style and it’s a piece you could wear more than one season.
