Blue Ruffle Top in Charleston

We made it to Charleston!

If you’ve been following our adventures on my Instagram story, you know the trek down and arrival wasn’t exactly the smoothest. 😉 Never a dull moment with a four-year-old, that’s for sure! But I wouldn’t have it any other way- being in this beautiful place with the two people I love most in the world couldn’t make anything short of a magical evening.

Sorry these photos are a little dark (it was pushing sunset when we got to Charleston) but I couldn’t wait to share this little ruffle top! It came in the mail yesterday and I fell head over heels as soon as I put it on- the ruffles, stripes and hint of lace are so pretty (+ on trend) and I love how they come together. This top is extra without feeling extra- it’s an easy one to throw on and go. My favorite outfits are the ones that look like I tried when I didn’t and this top makes that easy.

I paired it with these wedges I also just got for Spring. I love how they’re simple enough to go with everything but still elevate your look a little (literally and figuratively…lol!).

P.S. Quick hair tip I used today: after washing your hair, let it air dry ~65% of the way. This cuts so much time off blow drying and reduces the amount of heat you’re putting on your hair. When you start, flip your head upside down for a minute or two and dry that way (adds volume). To finish, keep tenson on your hair while drying it with a round brush (this helps to reduce my nemesis, frizz!). I’ve used this dryer and this brush for the last five years and can’t recommend them enough.
