Vest (on sale) // Cami // Jeans // Boots
Of the outfits I wore to New York Fashion Week, this one just might be my favorite. 🙂 A goal of mine with Fifteen Minutes to Flawless is to share looks that can be worn everyday but at the same time are unique, different and “fresh” in some way . One of the ways I love doing this is by thinking creatively with textures. I’ve noticed tons of texture in pieces both at NYFW as well as already hitting stores for Fall, and I have to say I’m a fan. In the case of this vest, the soft sherpa totally makes the piece; the color is neutral enough to pair with virtually any color top and jeans, but the texture will always make whatever it’s paired with pop.
For this look, I paired the vest with my favorite cami for Fall. Velvet is everywhere right now but a solid piece of velvet can be a little overwhelming to me. I love this cami because the velvet is more of a finish than the main event. (Side note- I really should have steamed this cami before shooting it- sorry about the wrinkles!!) Satin camis and lace details are also huge right now and I’m a little in awe of whomever designed this top for how he/she weaved three big trends into one piece that flows together so beautifully.
The cami makes the look more fitting for early Fall, but you could easily swap it for a long sleeve tee (my favorite here) or even a sweater later in the season. To me this is such a fun look for everything from running errands, to meeting up with friends for brunch. Depending on your work environment this vest could even be worn to the office by swapping the cami for an office-approved blouse. This vest is such a versatile staple, and when you have great basics the possibilities are endless!

Love this outfit! I’ve seen this cami a lot and I think it’s perfect for Fall. Those knee high boots are also equally amazing and look comfortable!
