Ridge, Juliana and I got back from Atlanta this afternoon. I had to go for meetings and they were able to come along which was so special. I love traveling for my job apart from leaving these two, so when Ridge’s schedule allowed him to come you can imagine how excited I got! Yesterday we had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory; when we lived in Hawaii Ridge and I had a tradition where we’d get a slice of their red velvet cheesecake in the evening and eat it on the beach. So anyway, yesterday when we were looking at the dessert menu we knew what we had to get! It was a little surreal eating that red velvet together after everything Ridge and I have been through since those days on the beach.
After dinner I checked out Atlanta’s shopping at Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza and was not disappointed. Fortunately I managed to (mostly) window shop but when I tried on these sandals at Valentino I got weak in the knees. I know that sounds dramatic but it’s honest to goodness what happened. These shoes are so gorgeous they took my breath away! I’m starting to think about saving for a pair but then there’s this Gucci bag I’m also head-over-heels for. What’s a girl to do? LOL. I feel incredibly lucky to be in a position to even be able to try on these beautiful items and save towards them, so no complaining here.
And then there’s a whole list of other items I’m currently craving which I’ve rounded up for you below along with the above-mentioned. My only disclaimer: many of these aren’t exactly “wardrobe staples” (though some like this white dress and denim jacket are and. But as I was told in Atlanta, sometimes you just have to “treat yo’self” ;).
