And just like, that we’re back to Monday! I’m writing this from Scranton Pennsylvania, where I’m attending a trade show and meeting a customer tomorrow. As ya’ll know, this is where The Office was filmed…and boy does it remind me of that show! I keep thinking I’ll bump into Andy or Dwight. Funny story, I went to Cornell for college and when people ask where I went and I tell them, they reply “Oh, like Andy from the Office?” Haha, yep!
Unlike Andy or Dwight, I don’t actually work in an office. As an account manager for Turkey Hill I log keystrokes from my home desk and meet with clients about once a week. In fashion terms, this means six days a week I’m casually clad and sporting business attire one. I know many of you do work in an office though, and for this reason I’ve been wanting to post more on work wear style. Getting photos on my trips is a time challenge though, so I planned ahead and shot tomorrow’s outfit yesterday.

Express is one of my favorite places to shop for work wear and their Portofino Shirt I’m wearing is the best button-down I’ve purchased. The material resists wrinkling, is stain resistant, and the style is super flattering. I love how this top comes in so many different styles and colors- in fact, I own six…the green one is the first top I bought after Juliana was born and it worked wonders while I lost the baby weight. I also love these shirts because, while they’re appropriate for a business environment, they are also easy to dress down with a pair of jeans, layer over a lace cami, or even knot in front. The side buttons/hidden tab even makes it easy to roll up your sleeves for the perfect “Casual Friday” look.
Not surprisingly, my pants are also Express. One of my favorite ways to amp up my work wear game is wearing a dark top and a light bottom. We tend to gravitate towards black or grey dress pants, but baby blue is totally unexpected and I believe the reason I get so many compliments on these pants.
Moving on to accessories, I’m obsessed with this multi-strand necklace from The Styled Collection. It’s a unique style- a choker, layered necklace, and statement all in one. When it comes to work wear shoes, I swear by Cole Haan- their pumps are so durable, versatile, and comfortable. Cole Haan also has their outlet online, making exceptional footwear that much more affordable. To finish off the look, I injected a bold pattern with this calf hair clutch. This pretty is quickly becoming my latest obsession!
