I usually keep my shoe color fairly neutral, but I found these adorable blue suede sandals on sale at Vince Camuto and had to go for it. While I get a ton of mileage from my shoe collection by sticking largely with neutrals, it’s fun to punctuate things with a pair of bright statement heels from time to time.
I think the key to pulling off statement heels is to keep the rest of your outfit neutral in color. Even though I kept my top and bottom neutral, I played with textures to make things a little more…sophisticated? My sweater is a gauzy-type material and very sheer, so I layered it with a white tank. For my jeans, I chose my current favorites: these AG step hem skinnies, which have plenty of cool effects between the distressing and hem. My bag, though a neutral cognac, also has intricacies between its chain-and-loop design.
One of the things I love about Vince Camuto heels is how comfortable they are. I wore these blue sandals for three hours at the mall on Sunday to break them in, and they only bothered me very slightly towards the very end!
