Hey everyone! How is your week going? Mine has been relatively calm–which is great since things at work are going to get crazy next week and stay that way for a while! The Fall is always busy for the sales and marketing team at Turkey Hill Dairy as it’s when we present our 2017 item assortment to customers. I guess sort of like a “Fall Collection” in fashion terms, right? 😉
Even though Fall is around the corner, I enjoyed styling a couple Summer outfits this week (after all it’s still Summer, right?) but started to play around with “transition” pieces that can work well into the cooler weather…which brings me to the gorgeous open-toe booties I picked for this look. I was initially drawn to the “V” cut in the front, which gives them a totally different look than most booties out there. But trying these things on and realizing how comfortable they are–even for their height–is what sealed the deal. I also love the darker brown “wood” color. It is definitely more transitional but still light enough to use as a neutral in many outfits.
I decided to keep this entire look neutral , choosing to play with texture instead of color. These ultra-distressed jeans provide plenty of texture, as does the lace detail on this top. I really like the texture contrast of the distressed jeans against the delicate lace.
