While you do have to spend a fair amount to realize the discounts, this sale is a great opportunity to add high quality “staple” pieces to your wardrobe that rarely (or never) otherwise go on sale! A few of my absolute favorite wardrobe essentials are included in the sale and listed below. I focused most of my picks on these “wardrobe builders”, as I like to call them, to help you get the biggest bang for your buck (ok, bucks) :
1. Madewell fleet jacket. I got this back in September and have worn it ALL winter. I loved it so much I included it in my capsule wardrobe. It’s well made and perfectly tailored so it doesn’t feel “boxy”.
2. Hudson classic denim jacket. To me this is the ultimate classic jean jacket. It’s certainly an investment piece though. Another lower-priced option is this one from Madewell.
3. Blank NYC suede jacket. I’ve tried this jacket at Nordstrom and am this close to getting it. The fit is amazing! For genuine suede, it’s a value at the regular retail and an awesome deal on sale. This jacket runs small though so size up!
4. AG the legging ankle jeans. I’m obsessed with AG jeans. I’ve owned Seven for All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Joe’s, and J Brand, and I find AG is a cut above (no pun intended!). They have a way of slimming your legs and looking uber-flattering. They also hold up very well over a many washes.
5. AG the stilt cigarette jeans. A great option if you’re in the market for a pair of classic black jeans.
6. AG the legging ankle jeans. I got these at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year and am obsessed with them! I chose them as part of my capsule wardrobe, wearing them multiple times a week for a month. After many, many washes they still look as good on as when I first got them.
7. Free People halo pullover. The perfect cozy, comfortable, slouchy piece for Spring.
8. J.O.A stripe off shoulder blouse. Sporting major heart eyes over this pretty :).
9. Madewell greer mule sandals. Mules are a huge trend right now, but I find it’s a hard one for some (including me!) to pull off. These mules, however, would look great on anyone because they are a sandal-mule.
10. Sam Edelman Dawson wedge sandals. I got these last summer and wore them nonstop. Now that it’s Spring, I’m living in them once again! They’re such a classy, comfortable, effortless way to dress up any look.
11. Ray-Ban classic aviator sunglasses. The ultimate classic pair of sunglasses.
12. DKNY Wellington watch. A statement watch is another real wardrobe staple. At $155 before the sale, this one is a less expensive option than many others. I love its sleek design!
13. Madewell filament stacking rings and Madewell big circle ring. Rings add polish to any outfit and I love the stacking trend!
14. Private party bride water bottle. Ok, had to throw this one in because how cute is it?!
