Happy Tuesday ladies! A few hours ago I landed in PA for meetings tomorrow. Quick trivia question: what’s the capital of Pennsylvania? If you scratched your head at all, don’t feel bad because I had no idea until I started flying into Harrisburg all the time for work. It’s definitely an interesting place to have the capital since it’s really not that big at all. The downtown has some cute streets though…I’ll try to snap some Instagram outfit photos there tomorrow afternoon so you guys can see it too 🙂
Since today was mostly traveling, what I am wearing here is actually yesterday’s look. Many of you liked the striped off shoulder top I wrote about a few weeks back, so I thought it would be fun to feature a somewhat similar top, but styled completely differently.
I absolutely love the tie sleeve detail on this top that makes it fun and unique and a great bonus is that this off shoulder number actually stays off shoulder (all about the practicality over here!). Chokers are huge this Fall as is paisley, and this top was perfect to pair with a necktie that captured both of these trends. What I’m wearing around my neck though is actually a headband I pinned in the back to make into a necktie. To show off the necktie and top, I decided to put my hair in a bun, working in my favorite hair donut to give it extra fullness. I’m a huge fan of hair donuts for those days when you want to throw your hair up, as they instantly transform a mediocre bun into a rock star one.
To dress things up a little I added a black oversized clutch that is actually a crossbody bag with removable straps. I love versatile bags like this that can be worn different ways, and this one has the added detail of fun and trendy tassels in the front.
